EverGreen Escapes Methodology
Using the awe-inspiring backdrop of the Cascadian wilderness combined with historically and regionally inspired stories, we seamlessly blend elements of team building, natural history interpretation and adventure activities to create a transformative and unforgettable experience for your team. Participants are equipped with maps, adventure gear and use carefully selected parts of a story to accomplish a series of diverse tasks that test the group's ability to achieve shared goals. The overall goal is to provide an opportunity to have fun, be challenged both physically and intellectually and in the end feel a real sense of accomplishment.
Embedding your team in a fictional yet still plausible story invites creativity and playfulness into their repertoire, and lowers the anxiety around performance. Thus allowing the group to be "themselves".
The job of your EverGreen Escapes naturalist/facilitator is to keep the group engaged on the mission and challenged sufficiently without any member being pushed too far as to no longer have a positive experience. It will also be his/her job to debrief after every challenge in order to improve teamwork. At the end, all groups will rendezvous and share their stories and challenges.
We offer a variety of Escape Plans - select one or allow us to blend them into a unique, memorable and tailored experience.
- Team Building – Programs focus on developing key group skills in a wilderness setting; communication, leadership and group decision-making.
- Group Play - Programs focus on fun and educational group activities in the outdoors including rock climbing, sea kayaking, hiking and snowshoeing.
- Adventure Races - Multi-activity event in which teams hike, run, navigate, rappel, kayak, bike, snowshoe, etc. and compete at a variety of wilderness challenges.
- Escape with Purpose - Leave an impact on the community and challenge your team to get their philanthropic hands dirty.
Typical Inclusions
- Professional Naturalist Facilitators & Escape Artists
- Maximum 9 to 1 guide to guest ratio
- Transportation via bio-fueled Mercedes
- Morning and/or Afternoon Tea
- ‘On Safari’ organic and/or seasonal meal (3/4 & Full day Escapes only)
- On site water, juice, energy bars and snacks
- Naturalist interpretation of natural history, geology, wildlife and local ecology
- Maps, Compass and/or GPS unit (when needed)
- Technical gear and equipment provided
- Personal outfitting optional available for rent (boots, parkas, etc.)
