Escape Plan:
Located 20 miles from Seattle, Woodinville Wine Country boasts nearly 100 wineries and tasting rooms. Along with sharing a common location, all of the wineries share the vision of creating world class wine from the finest Washington vineyards. Our Woodinville Wine Trail Experience highlights four unique, award winning boutique wineries in an intimate and relaxed atmosphere. The focus is education and enjoyment as you meet with winemakers, tour wineries and, of course, taste wine.
Enjoy European styled wines at Hollywood Hills Vineyards, the only winery with an estate vineyard in Woodinville. A true garagiste, Steve and his wife Becky annually produce 1200 cases of wine in their detached garage and barn.
At JM Cellars, software executive turned winemaker, John Bigelow, focuses on handcrafting red blends of balance, power, dimension and finesse. After a tour of the barrel room, taste wines while exploring the landscape of the historic Bramble Bump property.
Sparkman Cellars, in the Woodinville Warehouse District, is truly a family operation with husband, Chris, wife, Kelly, and daughters, Ruby Leigh and Stella Mae running the show. While Ruby Leigh (aged 5) and Stella Mae (aged 7) wait to get their hands in the juice, Chris and Kelly continue to make knockout wines, focusing on grapes grown in Red Mountain AVA.
Owned by a fourth generation farming family, Airfield Estates has been growing wine grapes since 1968. Since producing their first estate vintage in 2005, Airfield’s wines have garnered high praise for quality and value.
David and Cindy Lawson turned their home winemaking passion into a commercial venture ten years ago, and have gone on to develop a loyal following for their exceptional and diverse wines at Covington Cellars. Gain insight into the winemaking process while enjoying the company of the Lawsons’ two Vizslas, Starr and Chance.
During the week, a visit to nationally renowned DeLille Cellars showcases the top tier of wine in Washington. Since 1992, this family owned winery, under the leadership of winemaker Chris Upchurch, has been producing the highest quality Bordeaux and Rhone inspired wines in the Northwest.

Michelle, or Alexandria Nicole Cellars. Your Escape Artist guide will confirm the itinerary for your specific Wine Trail.
Please note: Our Escape Artist guides provide a wine trail experience that is unique, informative and memorable, and they do everything possible to follow the scheduled itinerary of winery visits, which typically follow closely from one to the next. On rare occasion scheduling conflicts and operational situations beyond our control (traffic conditions, for example) may delay the timing of a wine tour in progress and may result in a last-minute substitution or omission of a scheduled winery visit. We appreciate our clients’ understanding in such rare circumstances.
