Winter in the Pacific Northwest requires a little extra gear…
Washington winters can often be wet, cool and, in some places, extremely snowy! Mount Rainier National Park, for example, receives an average of 12-15 feet of snow at the higher elevation areas we explore on our full day tour. Due to the active nature of our guided tour experiences, it is important to have proper gear to be safe and feel comfortable while out on the trail. If you’re looking for guidance on what to wear for your tour, check out our page on how to dress based on the season and destination.
All of our winter snowshoe tours include the use of snowshoes and trekking poles to keep you traversing easily over the snowiest of trails, but warm, waterproof boots are essential for protecting your feet and keeping you comfortable throughout the day.
Pack lighter and worry less with our waterproof boot rental option!
If your climate doesn’t require you to own hiking or snow boots, or you simply just don’t want to travel with bulky shoes on your trip, we offer waterproof boot rentals for our guests.
Boots are available to rent on a first come, first served basis. Use the booking form below to reserve your pair. Please make sure to rent boots for the same date as your tour to confirm accurate availability.
If you are traveling on any of the following tours, sturdy, waterproof boots are required for both your comfort, but more importantly for your safety along the trails.
