Sammie Lemmer

Sammie is originally from New Jersey, and after a childhood of hiking and exploring and degrees in Earth and Planetary Science and Sociology, she moved to the west coast to immerse herself in the vast outdoors. She has spent her entire career outside, educating about and exploring forests, mountains, tide pools, and marshes in California and Washington. She loves to identify plants (especially the edible ones) and always hopes to find some critters or creatures. When not backpacking, climbing, swimming, or cooking delicious meals at a campground somewhere, she can be found crocheting, reading, or trying to solve the NYT Sunday crossword puzzle.
