Matthew Card

Matthew first discovered his passion for sharing the natural world through memorable experiences in 2012 when he was hired as a horseback guide and stage coach driver in Yellowstone National Park. Since then he has had the privilege of working as an educator in various environmental institutions including Tracy Aviary in Salt Lake City, Utah, the Alaska SeaLife Center in Seward, Alaska, Blank Park Zoo and the Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden, both in Des Moines, Iowa. While his degree from Iowa State University in Animal Ecology focuses on all aspects of nature, he has a particular fondness for avian ecology and is an avid birder. In his free time, Matthew enjoys reading, woodworking, traveling. His favorite aspect of his job is connecting with people and going adventuring with them every day!
